David Moyes Claret & Blue Army
May have missed this and not seen it on another thread, but just seen Moyes's reaction as he walked out to be interviewed and heard the fans singing his name.

About time to be fair

i think it was Stuart Pearce who said tonight there is a real togetherness from the fans on the terrace to the staff to the players on the pitch.

Moyes and West ham were in the perfect place for each other. Just needed the fans to buy bin.

Quite the barometer of how you're doing, if our fans sing your name. We can be a discerning bunch.

If our lot sang his name, then he's earned it.

I have to say, there were moments during and after the Zagreb game that I just cannot quite believe what Moyes has done for our West Ham.

And as for Moyes, fucking love the bloke.

I've always liked how he speaks etc, but didn't change the fact I didn't personally want him back.

I'll always back anything west ham and am too loyal even to players who piss me off, but the football in his first stint wasn't pretty.

He's done a herculean job and won me over big time obviously.

Long may it continue.

He’s advanced us 5 years in just one full season and a bit. I was fuming at his reappointment, so guys full of humble pie for me. What he is achieving is outstanding.

I was always for The Moyesiah coming back and received tons of abuse for it.

Re: David Moyes Claret & Blue Army
I recall posting at the time that there was a whiff of arrogance about the negativity in his appointment - both first and second time. In some ways, the bust flush metaphor could have been directed at us as well as him. I thought we were well suited. Not my first choice either but, I consoled myself with the fact that he was bringing a bagful of Prem experience with him. And, wow, hasn’t he just. Really pleased for him, the club and us. Years of toxicity, reeling from one disaster to another with the odd whiff of hope appear to have evaporated. What lies ahead is potential, promise and optimism. It’s good to a hammer right now.

If we’re honest, most of us weren’t keen on Moyes being appointed first or second time, but hands up, he’s done a fantastic job

Re: David Moyes Claret & Blue Army
Herculean task to win a very sceptical fanbase- many of whom thought he was a busted flush- over and take us as a squad from where we were 20 months ago to where we are now. At least with the things within his sphere of influence, we seem to be much better off and better run as a club than before.

Well deserved.

Takes a lot to win West Ham fans over.

Seems he may well have done so. And on merit, not reputation.

Re: David Moyes Claret & Blue Army
I was wondering what more he needed to do but pleased that his name is finally getting sung.

100% deserves the backing of the fans for what he has done since he got here.
